COMING UP
The club AGM will be held Sunday February 20 at 4PM. Venue is Ross and Karen Twyford's. There will be a BBQ to follow
The Kapiti Classic Beach races are on Sunday 13 March 2011. Children, horses and international milers have competed on Paraparaumu Beach in the past, but to our knowledge there have never been any longer events. The races will take place in the morning during low tide, so there will be plenty of beach to run or walk on. The long sandy beaches of the Kapiti coast are a great natural asset and ideal for walking and running. So the Kapiti Harrier and Multisport Club has designed an event that will use the beaches and cater for all ages and abilities. See it as a fun run or walk, race or just a challenge.
If you have not done this sort of thing before, give it a go and set yourself a target.
The kids in the kilometre race will get something tasty at the finish and all the entrants in the longer walks and runs will be eligible for spot prizes. Most of the proceeds will be going to local charities, so in taking part you will be supporting the Kapiti community. All finishers will also get a race certificate.
