Otaki Triathlon. 8-11-09 Run 4.5k – Cycle 15k – Swim 400metres

Perfect conditions greeted the 40 competitors taking part in the annual Otaki Tri on Sunday morning. Levin athlete Chris Sanson, was pushed hard all the way by a very strong Paraparaumu College team (Tim Stewart, Keegan McCauley, Joseph ? ) . Chris eventually winning in possibly the quickest time in Otaki Tri history, 48 mins 42 secs.
Strong performances saw Paul Rawlinson 53.42 and Andrew Burns 54.03, finish 2nd and 3rd .
Features of the day were the fantastic results by junior athletes, Mitchell Rutter 5th overall and Austin Dacombe-Bird 7th both showing the benefits of consistent training and dedication.
Alice Forster not only finished in the top 10, but continued her great, early season form to be 1st junior female and 1st female overall in 60.08, ahead of Gael Andrews and another junior athlete, Michaela Housioux-Andrews.
Robinson 1, were the 2nd team home followed by Speedazz from Te Horo 3rd.
