This Saturday is Handicap Race 2

The 2nd race in the handicap series is Saturday at Mazengarb Park, Paraparaumu, 1.45pm. A new course from previous years, all on grass and suitable for spikes if you wish. Meet at the rear carpark, near the area we use for transition at the duathlons. Still working on the handicaps but the distances will be as follows:

Junior B&G 1 lap = 1.7k
Intermediate B&G 2 laps = 3.4k
Senior B&G 3 laps = 5.1k

Women 3 laps = 5.1k
Men 4 laps = 6.8k

This Sunday you might like to enter the Levin Harriers Great Farm Run/Walk, 9am at Mackies Farm, 83 Waitarere Rd, Levin.
Distances are 16k/10k/5k All distances are run or walk.

Recent Results
There were several major events in the last week, but first I overlooked two members who competed very well in the Feilding duathlon. Dianna Baumann was 3rd in her age group and Derek Ward 2nd in his.
The Vosseler Shield saw 22 courageous members take on this tough cross country course. Standout result was Tim Stewart winning the M19 race. Other results were:

CSW cross country champs were on Wednesday. The full results aren't up on their website yet, but runners I noticed were Holly White 2nd and Jess Jenkins 15th in the Yr 9 Girls, and Tim Stewart 3rd in the Senior Boys.
Kapiti Primary Schools cross country was today. Quite a number of our members collected medals including: Sam Bence 1st and Lachy Twyford 3rd in Yr 6, Sarah Twyford 2nd in Yr 8, Ballad Woodley-Hanan (broken arm and all!) 3rd in Yr 7, Morton Dacombe-Bird 2nd and Rebecca Yorker 3rd in Yr5. Well done guys! And apologies if I've missed anyone out.
